JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly motivated AP & Inventory Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the company Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable and Inventory functions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, payables and assisting in process improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and handle Accounts Payable functions, including preparation of monthly payments and accruals.
· Reconcile monthly AP balances and maintain accurate AP aging listing.
· Monitor and update daily cash book and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.
· Prepare monthly inventory aging listing and reconcile monthly WIP, ensuring accurate recording of inventory.
· Perform gross margin analysis and collaborate with other departments on inventory management processes.
· Responsible for preparation, reconciling and closing of monthly and annual inter-company transactions.
· Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting.
· Responsible for other accounting processes and tasks (e.g. AP process and GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
· Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
· 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Inventory accounting
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· A self-starter who is able to plan, organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
· Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
· Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
